Removing front struts on xDrive 535's

Is it possible to remove front struts from a F10 535 xDrive without removing the upper a-arm bolts? I do not have Electronic Damping Control. I'm planning on installing lowering springs in my driveway using standard jack stands. Thanks.

I highly doubt it. I just did this install and the upper arms are only 2 bolts.

Yes, but IMO the procedure is even worse than loosening the upper arm:

Followed this video the first time I installed the Dinan springs and will soon be doing it all over again with the V3s install. The only thing you SHOULD NOT follow is how they failed to use a spring compressor. Always use a spring compressor. Always.
