Finally got rid of the crappy stock window tint for something nice to combat the S. Florida sun + washed the car for the 1st time. Damn does this color pop in the sun!

Hi guys. I recently purchased a 2013 550i with the Msport package.

I've been making some cosmetic and performance enhancements.

On the performance side, I put in a Sprint Booster and it's been great.

I'm thinking of getting the JB4, but i don't plan on making any other performance modifications.

Can you guys let me know what kind of performance improvements I should expect and also how involved the install is?

I did some research but I can't figure out how complicated it is to install it. Is there a step by step video guide?

currently working on getting the F90 bumper installed as the shop who will paint the bumper said to make sure there are no fitment issues. Carbon fiber splitter still en route from across seas but hopefully they should be here before the bumper is done. will post some progress pictures as i'm curious on your guys take if I should have the grills/mesh or whatever they're called painted JetBlack as well or leave it the plastic black?

I just picked a M5 rear diffuser, haven't installed yet cuz I want to redo the rear exhaust. I noticed it would rub.

I did order Arm motorsports intake and catless downpipes today.

alright guys got around to mocking this up yesterday after work. so far everything seems to line up good. the top where it meets the hood I need to make some adjustments which is no problem. I do want to ask should I have the mesh grills painted JetBlack or leave them alone?

mesh grills installed. I will say these snapped in place with no issues whatsoever. the quality is on point









so wanted to show how things lined up. pretty tight if you ask me as most aftermarket bumpers give you about a 90% fit





and here's where it meets the hood. just need to make some minor adjustments

I always wanted to get the mesh grill painted jet black but never got around to it. I think it would look good.
make sure the paint shop use flex in the paint for best results

I painted the mesh black on our base 2012. I've been vacillating on whether to do the same on the 2014 (MSport), but can't decide.

Brother has the 2012 still holding with the paint? I'm debating as like I mentioned above would really suck if it started to peel or flake after a year or two

Holding just fine, no flaking, chipping or fading. It's been 3 or 4 years now. I think I went gloss, but should have gone with flat or semi-gloss. IIRC, I used Rust-Oleum plastic paint.

I say paint it, I'm sure they warranty the work to an extent. I like the wet look so I vote a gloss paint, just my preference. Either way, it's going to look sick AF!

Over the weekend I blacked out the chrome pieces on the sides and installed a cf lip spoiler. Unfortunately the spoiler is not flush so might have to try again with stronger double-sided tape or some other adhesive. Any recommendations?

I used 3M tape, I think it's 1/4" roll but I had to order online because I couldn't find it locally where I live. Good luck either way, I remember feeling like it was going to blow off on the freeway, the first week I drove through my mirrors waiting for it to end up on the interstate, haha

with the new bumper I went ahead and ordered a set of Carbon Fiber emblems for the hood and trunk. also ordered a set of Carbon Fiber black double slat grills!
