Thanks guys. I've wrapped before but never for my own car. It was an insane amount of work. I am guessing around 40 hours worth of work considering I was doing it solo and had to work around my normal 9-5 schedule and my daughter. I didn't want to wrap it fast, I wanted to wrap it right. I've seen way too many wrap jobs where the installer just cut everything at the edges without removing the panels to tuck it in to save time. I could have wrapped it in half the time if that was the case but I wouldn't be able to live with the results. This was harder than expected due to the pearl wrap and I would not suggest doing something like this unless you've worked with the material before and have LOTS of time on your hands.

Only thing I'd suggest is black mirror caps.

Steve - Alan and Billy were so impressed with yours, Dave's and my car at the Rallye Motorsport show that they went ahead and wrapped their cars just to have a similar color!

Alan,

When you changed the 535 to 550 you should of just got a white one. And not spend all this money. That's just my idea. But do what makes you happy

I think that's the beauty of car wrapping. You can change your car's color every year, or sooner. In the good old days, if you paint your car lime green or orange, you're screwed if you want to sell the car later on.

Alan, you're car looks great in SG. I wasn't really a fan of the color until I saw your pics here. I'm sure your car was an inspiration for many space grey owners.

I didn't really mod the LCI M5 grill. Its too much work to shave down the slants just to remove the badge imo. What i did was remove the "5" and shifted the M to the center. The emblem comes as two pieces for each letter so it was a easy fix.

Don't get me wrong I love the F10 in AW and in SG. I still prefer SG over AW honestly. Its more rare and it shows off the body lines just right imo. Now with this wrap its a completely different color from AW. Its hard to tell in the pictures but the satin white pearl pops like crazy in person. I was parked next to a AW M3 and it wasn't even in the same color palette imo.

Like twelve535 said....that the beauty of the wrap. I can rock this until i get bored again and just remove it in 1-2 hours. I'll have my SG color back or I can choose to wrap it another color if i want.

Here's one more pic of the back that i had on my phone.... I promise to take my real camera out with me if its nice this weekend for some better shots. Just so hard to do with the wife and kid always with me
