I want to keep my original rims 19 inch m sports and maybe same tires stock on BMW 550i m sport staggered but I want to make them stick out just enough to be flush with the car everyone keeps telling me to go with 10mm spacers but I want you guys opinion .

Do you plan on lowering the car at all? Lowering gives more negative camber, and the front camber is non-adjustable by default so if you do lower you might need even more up front.

Yes bro , I actually just ordered the dinan springs with bump stops, should lower about an 1inch from what I've heard after it settles

I've been toying with the idea of spacers too since I installed the KWs. I didn't see a huge need before but now it looks a little odd.

I used an offset calculator and plugged in the numbers from the staggered rear option and it seems to say that a one inch (25mm) spacer on the rear would bring it equivalent to a stock staggered stance. That seems a little much but *shrug*, 15mm doesn't eyeball as enough.

I'm not lowered a ton, 1.25" maybe? I set the KWs up so they were 2/3 to 3/4 toward the "top" of the recommended range because I specifically didn't want to go too low.

Damm bro I think that's too much . I think an f80 m3 has the fenders wide enough to fit that even a 20mm conformability, I was also recommended to switch to stud conversion first before spacers

You dont need to use a fancy online calculator. Get a tape measure and measure the mm from your tire to your fender.

I'm just saying what the math said (unless I typoed one of the numbers into the calculators) just to make my square set up appear like a factory staggered setup.

Square is 8.5JX19 ET33, staggered rear is 9Jx19 ET44. Spitballing the math agrees too: they won't want to be any closer to the suspension so half inch wider wheel, 11mm further out (checks out). The tire is 30mm wider section (245 to 275) so 245 is a "skinny" fit on an 8.5 and 275 is a wider fit on a 9.0 (30mm wider tire on a 12mm wider wheel).... Doesn't sound outlandishly crazy.

The car is filthy right now but walking up to it I saw that the sun angle highlighted how things look and leave something to be desired. Actually the harsh shadow on the rear doesn't really show well just what the vertical gap looks like, but does show the need for spacers.

Anyways this is a square 351M 8.5Jx19 245/40/19 set up after being lowered about 1.25". It gives about one finger of gap, my car is level with the front.
I attached a couple more trying to show gap - but my rear pic still sucks.

The calculator was to determine where the factory staggered package fits in the wheel well, not to replace a tape measure.

The fancy calculator seems to say that to put the wheel + tire in the same apparent location as staggered needs 25mm, which I agree seems like a lot.

In terms of using a calculator, using the M5 343M fitment is pretty spot on as a reference point. On my car, the wheels are pretty much flush with the fender in the back and only about 3-4MM away from being flush (due to camber) in the front..

The fronts are 20x9 ET34, rear is 20x10 ET34

The fancy pants calculator says that set up (along with the 265/35/20 and 295/30/20 rubber specified) would be 0.96" further out, also known as around 25mm.

I was comparing my F10 to a friend's F10 M5 and the fenders are flared noticeably more. That would likely mean that a set of M5-spec 20s would protrude more than they would appear to on an actual M5.

Your math is off. The staggered 19x9 ET44 rear wheel is actually 5mm less aggressive than you square 19x8.5 ET33 rear wheel.

First pic is pre-coilovers. The rear pokes a tiny bit, but the tire pokes more than the wheels. Won't be as dramatic if you get 285's instead of 295's. Second pic is after coilovers.

Honestly, the poke is so little you'd only ever notice it if you're at the front/rear of the car and looking dead straight down the side.
