Just installed stage 1 Bootmod3 on my bone stock 550i...

The bad:
1. We only have 92 octane in my area, so I had to go with the 91 octane tune.

The good:
1. It was super easy to install, took about 20 minutes.
2. Wow, what a difference in boost and quickness!

Definitely worth every penny! Hopefully, my aftermarket warranty isn't voided when I need it, but too late now .

I already want to get downpipes and flash to stage 2! Lol

Enjoy! BM3 is great! Stage 1 on my M235i and its a rocket! Love it every time I get in it. Can't imagine what Stage 2 is like in that short wheel base light car. Gotta hang on for dear life or you'll end up in a ditch pretty quick.

I'm sure your 550i is ridiculous! Get a CP for sure and go to Stage 2 especially in that car. Maybe upgrade your turbos for as well. Then you'll have a monster!

I've seen recommendations to upgrade the charge pipe before it blows. Does anyone make an aftermarket 550i charge pipe? Finding aftermarket exhaust parts for the 550 F10 is exhausting.

Check out one of the vendors on this website. Tons to choose from.

Thank you for the recommendation, I have checked them all out, unfortunately, everything is for either the M5 or the 535i, none have anything for the N63tu F10 550i.

No updates. Still installed and love it! The extra boost is very noticeable. I flashed back to stock when I took my car in for an oil change and brakes, then right back to Stage 1 when I got it back.

No plans to update right away since it's my daily driver. When I do, I'll post an update outlining the difference of stage 1 and 2 from my perspective.

I just went with bm3 stage one on my n63tu and it is a monster. stock dragy time 0-60 was 4.4 sec...stage one bm3 (bone stock otherwise)....0-60 3.7sec. it pulls like a freight train...I can't imagine stage 2. I do have a weird rattle noise if I really get on it and use the paddles and rev it out. I am guessing it is the waste gate? thoughts?

Just did the same thing to my 14' 550i and had the same experience. You go into it expecting turbos to make a difference, but yet it's still surprising.

As far as I know Intercoolers are only offer through Dinan and are beyond expensive and not really required.

I am planning on picking up a dragy, but for now just but dyno and am not surprised by those numbers at all. The difference is impressive, what were your differences in the 1/4 mile on dragy?

just to add to the thread: I installed BM3 stage 1, 91 octane today on my 2015 550i xdrive bone stock, 22k miles (running 92 octane).

immediately apparent
- throttle response: tuned comfort now feels like a blend between the pre-tuned sport and comfort. much improved over factory. feels more linear and intuitive regarding throttle input and response.
- butt dyno: noticeable power improvements. smooth delivery, transmission up and downshifts.

day 1, but assuming no downstream problems: is exactly what I was hoping for. bone stock, easy to tune/detune... just a bit of extra power and some drivability tweaks.
