Hello all, I have a 2013 bmw 535i xdrive that’s having some issues. A few minutes after leaving work one day at highway speeds
(first hot day of the season, 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit)
the car rumbled a bit and the engine shut off. I pulled over and it gave me a fuel system malfunction and a drivetrain malfunction, I’m not sure if there was a check engine light at the time because there always is when the car is on but engine isn’t running. It has done this several times since but only when it’s hot outside, and even running it very hard, it will not die or have any issues at all in the evening when the weather cools down a bit.
(Important notes: I have had an oil leak from the valve cover gasket for awhile, oil levels are still good when measuring through the head unit. I also let the tank get way too low several times, to the point where it gives me the fuel reserve indicator)
Attached are some of the codes I thought might mean something, but there were no “cel codes” and the readings from the BimmerLink dashboard were taken while maintaining 60mph on a flat road. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
