Replacing Ambient Temp Sensor on 550i
Dashboard reading something ridiculous like 122 degrees and A/C isn’t working so need to replace the sensor (surprised this threw a CEL). Has anyone replaced this on a 550i (N63TU if that matters)?
I would’ve thought sensor could be replaced by removing the passenger side fog grill. But there’s no clear access because I’m blocked by the lower aux radiator. Can it be accessed from the wheel well or does the bumper actually need to come off? |

Thanks super helpful. Hopefully I can access through one of the panel covers instead of having to remove the entire liner.
