Map update problem

Loaded 2019-1 NA NEXT map for my 15 F10 on to 64GB USB (formated fat32), idrive recognizes update, then gets hung on "please connect the usb device 1". Only option is to cancel.
I have 4 folders (1,2,3,4) and 3 files .nfm, .pkg, and .pkg.sig on the root of the drive.
What am I doing wrong?

Just updated my maps as well from https://bmwnavupdate.com/ 2018-2 and all went smooth. Just did not expect to take almost 40 minutes of idling in the driveway while it updated from the glove box USB.

got it from a Facebook group... I also had the same problem with a 2018 map that I downloaded from **************.com

The dealer. Paying for the update would be a good start.

Assume you have a fsc key as well.

They can be download from other sources, don't recall where I got mine now when I had a f10. I do recall using esys to create a fsc code though

If I'm not mistaken it should be one file in .bin format.

Reformat the USB drive. Or try another. I had a similar issue and changed the drive and successfully did the update.

That's the BMW phone connectivity update, not the map update.
