ACS Springs added to 2012 550i M-Sport

Yesterday I added ACS Springs to my 2012 550i M-sport. My car does NOT have ARS.

So far, the springs are awesome! The change comes from both lowering the car a modest amount and the stiffer springs.

Body roll, dive on braking, squat on acceleration and steering responsiveness are all changed for the better. The car feels much more like a SPORT sedan now and closer to my 2009 E60 550i M-Sport. The F10 is bigger and more luxurious so there will always be some differences. DHP works fine and so far no adverse issues.

I will report back when I have some miles on the springs.

Can you post your impression of the ride quality differences?

Ride Quality is really unchanged, except as noted in the initial post. I.e., lower (lower CG for better handling) and tighter, but still compliant. Of course, I live in Orange County and generally travel on good roads. I travel over some surface streets that are a bit rough, but nothing too bad. For me, the car should have come with these springs.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I am getting ready to install mine soon.

Best,

Installed mine yesterday as well. Feels smoother than the stock springs which was a huge surprise. Congrats

I really like the lower ride height-feels like a sport sedan and really does handle much better. It is not like my Viper but it feels tighter and more connected than the f10 550i MSport stock--no longer a high, fluffy, floaty boat.

When you had your ACS springs installed, did you do an alignment right away or wait a few weeks?

Was there a measurable drop after a few hundred miles/few weeks as the springs settled? If so, how much?

Thanks!
