210,000 Miles and still going! 2013 BMW 528i

Hello, I just joined this forum. My name is Alex, live in Minneapolis and I have a 2013 BMW 528i 2.0T that I bought pre-owned in 2014 and still have to this day. It now has 210,000 miles and still runs nicely. I haven't needed to do too much work on the car other than ordinary maintenance and tires. Ironically, this car has lasted longer than my Jaguar XF 4.2 which I loved dearly but I could no longer justify maintaining it.

Anyhow, I have enjoyed owning this car due to it's fuel economy and roomy interior. If I were to compare it to any other car I have owned, it reminds me a lot of my SAAB 9-5 from the sound of the engine to how it handles overall, which is mediocre.

I plan to keep the car until it breaks, hopefully until it makes 300,000 miles. I have attached some pictures but they ended up flipped and am not sure how to adjust it.

Well, that is my intro. The BMW replaced a Lexus ES that I formerly owned and it has proven to be a reliable and decent running vehicle.

Very encouraging to read about the longevity on that N20! You got a good one!

Never replaced the timing chain or guides; still original red guides. I think the car has lasted longer because I have always turned off the auto-stop-start during my ownership.
