Question Strange clicking noise when steering wheel is at max left or right

Hello, I bought a 2014 BMW F10 535xi and so far it is a fantastic car. Only issue at the moment is that when I drive in reverse with a steering wheel at max left/right there is this clicking noise only at low speed. Especially noticeable when I park... Any suggestions what is this all about. I have an service appointment for next week but wanted to check if someone else faced such issue.

Sounds to me without hearing it like a classic CV axle failure.

+1 on the axle. These cars, for whatever reason, eat through the front passenger side axle. I've replaced mine 3 times and I think I'm due for a 4th soon.

Sounds like you may want to inspect your motor mounts!

Or you are using garbage quality Autozone axles.

You know, I never even thought to do this - thanks for the tip. I've always used the original OE axle, just rebuilt. Might explain the thumping noise I'm always hearing on uneven surfaces too.

I'm driving the non-xdrive version so no front cv axle I think

the clicking sound was there when I steering wheel is at max left. The sound was coming from the strut brace. Installed a small washer there, the noise has gone since then
