"Looks good enough for the girls that we go with". ![]() They look good and anything is better than the chrome on those useless side markers! Ind Distribution does really nice work and they'll paint match side markers & sand down side reflectors too. They are a bit on the spendier side. They're worth checking out if you've never heard of them before. https://ind-distribution.com/?srslti...fYL7q3P9dwEqMX I think your DIY looks good and I look forward to seeing some full body pics of all the work you've been doing. FWIW, here's a couple pics of IND-Distribution sidemarker (gloss black) & side reflector delete (Alpine White III) on my F10 (Car has a clear PPF bra, btw) I need to get off my butt and at least wrap the chrome trim on the CA handles. It has been bugging me for awhile. |

Installed some GTS Tailights today. Waiting on the new headlights and port injection Intake manifold to arrive now. I'm debating on tinting or painting the rear reflectors.

I recommend doing coolant hoses as well. It has changed to brown. You don’t want a surprise leak while driving

Installed a cooling fan for the EKP wiring. The BM3 flexfuel kit harness has too small of a wire gauge or something, and it heats up to something like 82*C, and the wire insulation is rated for 80*C. I contacted BM3 and they claim they made updated harnesses but that they don't provide them anymore, and are essentially giving me the run around, which is...fun. The fan lowers the wire temps to around 50*C, which is a really nice drop.
![]() ![]() The fan's quite secure there, as it gets kind of wedged on the sides by our under trunk storage-thingy. The fan runs off a Y on the fan header on the EKP. I had the EKP sent to Arc Terminator for their cooling fan and upgraded IC service, and the Noctua option uses a standard computer fan connector for the fan. They were fantastic and very communicative, sending me very detailed photos/proofs of the upgrade process. Very patient about all my questions, highly recommend checking them out. The case is quite pretty too, despite no one being able to see it ever lol On a different note, found the source of my rub. Tire is rubbing on the fender liner, not the actual fender. It rubbed a hole into where a corner of that "complex" used to be. I have a feeling the rub to the right of that hole is where my 245's used to rub a tiny bit when hitting hard bumps. Realistically, I doubt a smaller space will help much, but I might go from my 7.5mm's to 5mm's. ![]() The debate right now is if I go to 5mm's, I will not be able to use my floating center caps, since even on 6mm's (I stacked my two 3mm's on top of each other to test) the center cap can't spin freely anymore, let alone for a 5mm spacer. This is due to my hub extender, which I would still need if I want to run a 5mm spacer. The 3mm's would allow me to run no extender, but the wheel spokes then only have like 1mm or less of clearance between the G series calipers. Which is a scary thin clearance. Alternatively, I could keep the 7.5mm and just raise the front a quarter of an inch to try to get more compression travel before rubbing. Doubt I'd notice the height increase visually. Decisions decisions.

![]() I just did chrome delete on my CA handles. My first time working with wrapping as well. I'd give myself a C+/B-. So, it'll do for now. At least it's not chrome anymore. My preference would be to paint Alpine White III. Here's a couple pics. |

Feeling a bit bummed today. Found an excellent set of G11 calipers a few months ago in SoCal and arranged for my old man to pick them up and drop them with me when he was back in town this week. Unfortunately the seller wrapped them in microfiber cloths and the brake fluid wicked out and ruined the paint. The main reason for getting this particular set was their appearance/condition so I'm pretty frustrated even though it was an honest mistake. I'll use this opportunity to have my rear M5 calipers matched since the factory blues were slightly different between the two, so at least there's that...

What's the spec on the Apex EC-7s? Your fitment is incredible.

All the necessary maintenance is handled, and the morning wasn't blisteringly hot, so time for some cosmetic fixes that have been needed for a bit.
Started with the fog lights. Just needed a bulb, but figured if I'm going to the effort, might as well get some clear lenses on. $33 Amazon lights, so they don't fit great, but good enough! ![]() Speaking of our favorite nautically inclined oligarch, I also have some door handles from Amazon to replace the gooey mess that the stock ones have become. Pretty easy job as unlike the three series, these use screws to hold them on so no drilling! ![]() ![]() Similar to the fogs, quality seems fine, but tolerances/fitment leave a bit to be desired. Mind the gap: ![]() Last edited by StradaRedlands; 08-10-2025 at 08:48 PM.. |
