Installed a 6WB digital cluster today! 🚀Big thanks to local member addy27 who not only sold me the unit but also helped with the install and coding — everything went super smooth.
The difference compared to the old 6WA is night and day, really modernizes the interior. Loving the look already!

Thanks! Springs are sitting in the garage — just need to find the time to get them on 😅.

Looks awesome 🤩! What kind of HP gains are you seeing with the full Stage 3 Dinan setup?
I recently flashed Mission Performance Stage 1 — not sure on the exact numbers, but I’ve been really happy with it so far. The car feels way more responsive and peppy. I also did NGK plugs and new coils beforehand, which made a noticeable difference before and after the tune.

i had the mission performance tune along with the trans tune.

@50k miles (i put it on at 25k miles) i started to see some power loss issues at the top of the rev range when, eventually 2 injectors failed as did my hpfp

so i refreshed the entire fuel delivery system (injectors / hpfps / cam followers / vanos solenoids / cam position sensors / maf's and o2 sensors)

so i pulled the mp tune and with the help of Addy installed the dinan kit (pieced it together off of fb marketplace) installed the dinan tune and the alpina trans tune.

been happy with it ever since, not sure of gains / #'s, but the car is definetly more responsive where i need it, 2500-5500 rpm.

next up is cooling system refresh...since i'm getting low coolant errors...

Appreciate you sharing that — sounds like a lot of work but glad the Dinan/Alpina setup has been solid. I feel the same with Mission, really wakes it up in that mid-range. I’ll definitely hit you guys up if I’m in the South Bay — and same goes if you’re ever up in Marin or SF 👍

I just did a LCI M Sport wheel retrofit on my pre-LCI M Sport. Got a good deal on an OEM steering wheel + genuine airbag off of a 2014 535i.

This was my first real mod lol. It’s supposed to be one of the easiest mods to do but me being me, I found a way to fuck it up the first time around. I didn’t route the button harness properly and it ended up touching the horn contact plate. Turned the car on and the horn was stuck on. Gave me, my entire family, and a couple neighbors a heart attack because I was doing this at 11pm.

Paddle shifters are still a work in progress. I haven’t even tried putting them on yet. The resistance values between the pre-LCI and LCI paddle shifters are different so I’d have to solder on new resistors. If anyone has done this already please let me know how exactly you did it, I would really appreciate some help lol. I’ve found guides on retrofitting F30 paddles to the LCI F10 but nothing about LCI F10 paddles on pre-LCI F10.

I really wanted to get a 6WB cluster to complement this wheel but not even 2 hours after getting it on, I got a flat tire and had to replace both front tires so that wiped out money I had set aside for the 6WB. I’ll go down that route again in a couple of months but right now I think I’m happy enough with the wheel.

Thanks! I'm from the Morris County area. Seems like there's quite a few F10 owners here from Jersey, would love to do a meetup one day or something. Your car looks sick as well, that olive green is really nice and I'm sure that PS2 packs a punch lol

Finally got around to installing a front camera into my MMI Prime. Really helps me keep an eye on the carbon front lip when pulling up to curbs. Still deciding whether to keep the parking lines overlay or just run it clean.

Replaced the rear Diff last night after all this effort trying to diagnose a nasty noise from the rear. I swore it was an axle as it sounded 100% like a trashed axle but it was the Diff. 3hrs from pulling it in the garage to pulling it out and its back like new!!. Im out a few hundred from misdiagnosing and replacing axles but whatever.

I’ve had the BimmerTech MMI Prime unit for a while, which connects to the OEM screen and has RCA + 12V power hookup for a front cam. All I did was grab a cheap camera off Amazon and route the wiring — honestly the hardest part of the job. No coding needed. I know some guys go with full Android replacement screens that also support cameras (and probably give better video quality than RCA), but those tend to be buggy and slow to boot, so I stuck with the MMI.
