Finally installed the M5 seats, coded them, and installed the Alpina B5 myrtle wood trim (Thanks to addy27 - great resource to the forum).
Next will be 374mm brakes on the front.....and once the front and rear Alpina spoilers arrive from Germany and painted to match the vehicle, those will be installed. |

I have been looking for front lips since I bought the car... However front end goes pretty low with these and cannot lower the car enough for my taste anymore. Might go with m-sport someday.

Changed out the old halogen interior dome lights, footwell lights, and door lights out for some LEDs. Swapping in these lights along with the LCI steering wheel has made my pre-LCI feel so much more modern and IMO it’s probably the best bang for buck interior mod I’ve done, at only $7.
Next up: making the OEM ambient lighting brighter with some replacement LEDs |

Took the kids up the Maryhill Loops Road last weekend! Got to lead the last pack up the hill. Was an hour long wait in the line but even the kids said it was worth it to make the drive up and down that hill!

As for my F10 project for the day...I've become a member of the severe headlamp water condensation club. Awhile back I pulled the bumper, removed the headlamp, ran a silicone bead around edge of lens-to-housing mating surface, and flipped the "o-ring" on the cap. Hindsight 20/20, I should have ran a 10 psi pressure test on the assembly while it was removed as my DIY didn't work. I was getting ready to redo this task again when I thought to myself "hey dummy, why don't you make sure it's not the cap?" as I had a hard time believing that the previous silicone bead didn't seal. So, a few days ago I applied 1/4" window weather stripping to the inside of the cap. Bingo - No more condensation. ![]() |

Ever since I got my F10 I've made it a point to wash it every other weekend or so, but I've been super busy for the last month and a half and haven't gotten a chance to really get to it. Finally carved some time out to wash the car and clean up / vacuum the interior. Sometimes I forget just how beautiful this car is

Unfortunately, that means that the LCI F02 has to wear pre-LCI Alpina wheels for a bit, but the F10 gets the LCI Alpina wheels..... (might be the only time I get to post a 7-series on the 5-series forum) |

Did the steering wheel come like that or is it custom? I just wish they had or would allow more individual options this side of the pond! Also the full leather dash in this combo looks amazing. Any tips on how to keep the interior so clean? 😂

Small height adjustment for rear... Winter is close, so I think it will be time for winter tires in couple of weeks. Gotta lift it little bit more then. |

Made progress on my caliper upgrade this weekend! After spending two days trying to hand sand and chemically remove the damaged caliper paint I threw in the towel and took them to a local sand blaster. 30 min later they were done! That's a learning experience, lol.
So I masked them up, made a makeshift paint rack out of a ladder and popped open the G2 Estoril Blue caliper paint and got to painting. After 4 hours and ~3 coats each I decided that was as god as it was going to get. It's not perfect, the smooth surface of the front calipers allows the brush strokes to be seen thanks to the metallic aspect of the paint. I expected to not be entirely happy with the finish but just can't justify the $600+ to do powder coat when I've already spent more than planned and already had the G2 ready to go. Because of the rougher finish of the M5 sliding rear calipers, the paint looks like it came that way from the factory. Decals are still a week or two from being delivered and I've got rotors and pads ready to go! Shooting for mid-November to be done but I always take longer than expected. Going to swap back to the 351M winter wheels and throw on factory mud guards during the brake swap too. Last edited by JonnyRock; 10-14-2025 at 01:52 AM.. Reason: spelling |
