So I lowered my car 1" on ACS Springs right after those pics were taken, and I was worried about the same stuff, and bay area roads are JUST AS BAD as LA roads.

ACS springs even though they do run about 450ish + install, they are totally worth it.

3 days after installing them my wife and i drove from San jose to SF (100 miles r/t) up and down 101 and she didn't notice a degradation in ride quality at all.

Also with a 1" drop you don't have to worry about rubbing and also you're compressing the stock shocks SO MUCH that you'd cause really premature wear. maybe you lessen their life by 15-20% (this is an assumption on my part)

however its totally worth the upgrade.

and the higher price you pay for the ACS springs is worth every penny. i had h&r springs with bilstein shocks on my e39, and as much as i loved the way it handled on that setup, it was pretty damn stiff!

again just something to consider if you DO end up lowering.
Definitely appreciate the input. If I could get my hands on a used pair I would probably bite the bullet. Just can't justify the full cost of new ones compared to other springs like H&R

On a side note, got pics of the hamann lip on stock height? I'm considering that one next.

I use oversized tires to fill the wheel wells on my F11 with M Sport suspension.

Square 8.5x20" BBS CI-R wheels with 255/40-20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Haha I don't mind it honestly. I think if I go with 20's I might just use thicker tires to fill in the gap...or just live with it until I can get a pair of ACS springs at a decent price. I also intend on installing side skirt extensions will give the car an overall lower appearance.

You will look like my twin car AMTF10. I'll have pics up of my AW rolling on 20's with stock height once the weather in Toronto gets better. I, too, have the hamann lip and will be installing the side skirt extensions once the eBay seller sends me new ones (my first order came damaged in the mail).
I already heard a few scrapes on really bumpy roads, so I will most likely not decide to lower my car. If I do, I'll go with ACS as they seem to be the closest in ride quality to OEM.

Stock M Sport suspension on the F11.

Your setup will fit without rubbing also lowered.

Just get the H&R 1” drop springs and you’ll be good. Ride quality is great and your shocks will last as its nearly no different than if you were load the car with 4 adults.

I honestly can't remember exactly...I think the front is at least 30% (illegal in TX).
