Tire sizes (thickness?) Front versus Rear?

Hi Guys,

I have rims with 35 in the front and 30 in the rear... For curbing it is kinda crazy, wanted thicker tires.

I guess with F10s, the tires should be thicker in the front, i.e. 35 and 30 in the rear,

I guess if i want 245 / 45 / R20 in the front, I should get 275/40/R20 in the rear...

But is 45 too thick / high? I just did not want to hit pot holes, and i wanted to fill up the wheel well.

Thoughts?

It's best to avoid pot holes.
Just so you know, the taller the rim, the less cushion( thickness as you are calling it).
From what you are asking you should go in the other size direction and lower the car to fill the wheel well.
Also you do not have to run staggered sizes.

Thanks car will be lowered...

I Saw another thread where higher ratio might rub the knuckle?

Can i go with 45 ratio in the front?

No, but you can go one step up, to 245/40/20.

Thanks, so 245 / 40 in the front and 285 / 35 in the rear?

That should look better than 30 in the rear, its too thin.
