2011 550, IAS, Dinan, Vale Stem Seals, M wheels
79,945 miles. My Baby. Still smells new inside! No dings, no dents, no worn interior buttons. Includes many non-standard options and BMW accessories. ***Valve stem seal overhaul and Customer Care Package completed by dealer*** If you know about the N63 (Twin Turbo V8) engine, you know how important it is to have updated valve stem seals. As with man other BMW engines, the N63 engines in the 5 and 7 series have a known engineering design flaw with valve stems seals. This issue will cause excessive oil consumption. If you are looking to buy a 5 or 7 series w/the N63, I would urge you to some research on this topic. If the seals have not been retrofitted, the overhaul costs can get astronomical. BMW dealers actually remove the whole engine, disassemble the heads and do the work properly. I would NOT go near a 5 or 7 twin turbo that has not had this service completed!! Integral Active Steering (Four Wheel Steering) - AMAZING!! The IAS steers the rear wheels up to +/- 3 degrees depending on the speed. In city driving, it steers the rear wheels in opposing direction so you can whip around a corner. On the highway, it steers the rear wheels in the same direction as the front so you can change lanes effortlessly. Its a totally unique handling experience that only the IAS system can deliver. Imported custom steering wheel made in Lithuania. It's a flat-bottom, leather perforated, tapered thumb rest, heated, has the vibration alert and the paddle shifter option for controlling the sport transmission. The whole time you're driving, it's the steering wheel that connects your hands to the car. You might not think this is a big deal, but since your hands are on the steering wheel the whole time you're driving, it makes a world of difference. Has Genuine BMW 20” 464M Sport staggered wheels w/insides painted to match (20x8.5 front, 20x9 rear). These wheels were not an option from the regular option list, but had to be special ordered separately through the BMW Performance devision. M Sport front facia. Blind Zone Detection. Lane Deviation Indication. Self Parking. Dynamic Drive. Dynamic Damper Control. Adaptive Drive. Individual High-gloss Satin Chrome. Sport Automatic Transmission. Automatic Tailgate Operation. Adaptive Headlights. Front side bumper cameras. Surround view cameras under the side mirrors for the overhead 360 degree view. Comfort Access Package. Soft Close Automatic Doors. Cooled/Heated front seats. Rear heated seats. Active Seat Driver and Front Passenger. Rear and side window shades. Split folding rear seats. Hifi System Professional audio. LED fogs. WeatherTech mats. BMW approved Dinan 1/2” conservative sport spring kit - these took out the “floaty” feel. With the combination of the wheels, Dinan springs, and IAS system, this car can maneuver around a turn like you wouldn’t believe while still maintaining the smooth ride quality. The wheels, tires, TPS sensors, spark plugs, oil change, brake pads and rotors have approx less than 3Kmi. If you are a BMW enthusiast you will appreciate what this car is, the options it has, the maintenance performed, as well as the costs associated to get it to this level. You might think I am asking above the average, but this is not an average 550. When you compare this to the other 550's out there, compare how much just the valve stem retrofit would cost you WHEN it needs to be done. Not to mention the newer wheels, tires, brakes and rotors. Clean CarFax and dealer records available. Serious inquires only please. Proof of funds required for test drive. Sorry, no trades. Selling because I need a big commercial truck. Email/call for more info. Six-one-four-three-two-one-seven-six-two-seven, leave a VM. GLWS from a fellow 550 buddy. I am 100% behind you on the CCP, I won't buy another N63 without it or the possibility of it being completed. Nice car, good luck!!

Thanks.
Most have the CPP completed. It's all the exspensive headwork the dealer had to do to retrofit the re-designed valve stem seals that separates this car from all the others for sale. Everyone I know that owns a 550 or 750 has to put at least a quart of oil between fill-ups. The dealer usually tells them to overfill with TWO quarts so they won't have to do it so often, LOL. It's a shame the N63's had this design flaw to begin with. |
