BMW 535i strange noise in cabin

Hi there I've got a 2012 535i and it makes this very strange "chirping" sort of noise when the car is under a little bit of load, when either accelerating, coasting with engine braking or just rolling. The sound goes away when more throttle is applied. The sound is also present when I turn the engine off while I'm rolling so confident it's not the engine. What could it be?? I've been trying to find an answer for ages this is my first time posting.

does it go away if you turn off the AC fan? If it does, you likely have leaves and crap inside the HVAC box in the area where the blower motor sits. And it would have likely gotten in there because the HVAC box's upper cover's integrated foam coarse filter has degraded and come apart, allowing all kinds of outside stuff to get in. It's actually a common thing so you may want to inspect that.

You'd be looking at a blower housing upper cover with coarse filter, and a new micro filter (plus your time to replace and clean out the blower housing while the cover is off)

Thank you for your reply, although I did actually consider that and no it doesn't go away when the fans are off. It's very strange. Although it's definitely some sort of rotating part, as the very second I take my foot off the brake and start rolling forward it starts making this noise

No, it only happens when moving. And I turned the engine off while I was rolling and it still did it

I have this same chirping noise! Turning off the A/C/blower system doesn't eliminate the sound, and it usually happens when cold in the morning. I can't seem to pinpoint the sound but almost sounds like it's coming from the back of the car. Strange that 3 of us have the same issue...

First thing I'd check are the exhaust mounts. My 2014 evidently had the same type of chirping, and the previous owner told me when I was buying it that his mechanic found that a mount just before the rear axle was the culprit and replaced it. Seems they can wear and move just enough in place at certain points in the RPM range to make the noise.

it's either the drive shaft or exhaust mounts
