M5 343M forged (black) wheel on 15' F10 535i xDrive

From previous threads, I'm confident that the M5 343M should fits the F10 535 without big issues. But when it comes to the spacer, there isn't a firm answer whether we need one or not for the front (rear is definitely fine). Most of the debates comes from 550 vs 535. Also, car made before 12 and after seems to have some differences on their calipers. Correct me if I'm wrong, since 550 has a larger caliper than 535, so you probably need the spacer to clear the front caliper, however, it is NOT necessary for 535, is that correct? And for xDrive model, it's better to keep the rotation diameter same (within 1%), so 255/285 setup should be no problem.

Thanks

I am trying to figure the same thing out with the 19 inch 345M M5 wheel for my 2011 535i Xdrive.

It seems that wheel is a 19X9 32or33 offset and the recommended offset per the "WHEEL EXPERTS" is 25-30 for a 19X9 on my car... but i see more than one person running those wheels not only square around but also staggered which seems to be a NO NO per the "WHEEL EXPERTS" when you have Xdrive.

The main problem being the front not the back.

Can anyone one give a straight answer to this? Because depending on who you ask some say no some say no problems. My car is my daily driver and i tend to have passengers at times while not often. I also don't want anything going on my car prematurely trying to have a certain look.

I see no problem running a square 19x9 ET32 345M front set up.
In fact here's a link to a thread with a f11 with 19x9 ET32 and 255/40/19 tires all around.

remmib thanks for the response...I have seen atleast 3 threads with those wheels...But when I speak to "BMW" they say those do not show up when they put my car info in as far as fitment but others I've inquired about do ..even when I spoke to mod bargain they said an ET 25-30 is recommended for that width.. I spoke to another wheel company they said no more than 8.5 width ,they didn't even entertain the 9 inch width... I also notice on the calculator with those specs its -15mm from the struts...so I'm losing 15mm of clearance...

I'm really not trying to be a PIA but I want to be 100% sure as I will not be putting these wheels on until May/June but am planning to buy them now as I can get them from the dealer for a lot cheaper than original price....

I'm very specific when it comes to fitment because my car is my daily driver and I would like it to drive normal with the exception that I know going bigger and wider will change the drive a bit.. But I mean as far as rubbing...with passengers with out..fully locking wheels left or right etc...

I've owned wheels in the past that have shook when driving ,actually broke the studs and fell off while driving so that explains a bit why I'm very very very picky when purchasing wheels.. I do not want to go the aftermarket route because I do not like switching wheels every time the seasons change , storing wheels etc..

No one is saying they won't fit in the rear but the front might be the issue ...since I have XDrive...

Thanks again for the response

It's probably because the 345M wheels are for the M5 that BMW says they doesn't show for your 535i.

Since you mention 15mm less clearance to the front strut, I assume you've got some 18" OEM wheels (8" wide and ET30). But if you compare with OEM 19" wheels (8.5" wide and ET33), the clearance will only be 5mm less.

What tire size are you planning on? Unless you're going with some huge tires, you won't rub front or rear. I've got 20x9 ET26 with 255/35/20 tires in the front, and I also tried those in the rear with about 5mm clearance.

Yes your correct I currently have the 18X8 ET 30 all the way around.. I would only run 245/40/19 or 255/40/19 nothing wider ...

Yeah it does come up for the M5 but there's also wheels from other vehicles that do come up .. One wheel I looked at was off the 6 series... I didn't get the ET on the wheel but it is 19X8.5 style 367 ... But will much prefer the 345M...

I'll do some more thinking but definitely want to pick them up soon if I'm going to get them....

The 6 series has the same offset as the F10, so the 367 wheels are 19x8.5 ET33 and 19x9 ET44.

I get what your saying I'm going up a half inch but also going down a mm when comparing the 19X8.5 ET 33 to the 19X9 ET 32.. It's not a low enough offset to even out but enough for clearance.. This stuff is confusing .. Even when you start talking like that to some of the BMW techs they are lost like "wait wait that's to confusing". But I get it ..

I wouldn't worry about the inner clearance. Remember the first link in my first reply in this thread, that car has the same 19x9 ET32 255/40/19 you want to do. I've also seen 20x10.5 ET20 and 21x9.5 ET30, both has less clearance than 19x9 ET32.

I am conflicted too.

Will 343M wheels work with 2016 535i xDrive?

Wheels: 20x9 ET 34 Front & 20x10 ET 34 Rear
Tires: 245/35/20 Front & 275/30/20 Rear?

In terms of my researches, 343M will fit 535 without the need of spacers. However, it will not fit 550 without using spacer since 550 has larger front calipers than 535.

I'm out of country now and will be back soon. Keep an eye on the forum, I'll post pics soon after installation if they fit.

Hi,

I bought OEM M5 M343 wheels and ET in front is 32. First I thought that I bought fakes but I think they have just changed front ET?

From my research on getBMWParts, they have ET:32 and ET:34 for the 343M rims.

Just got back from local BMW dealer where they mounted 19" 343M wheels on my 550i Xdrive ... no spacers and no problems.

Thank you for the info. I mounted 20 343 on my 535 in my local dealer, it's perfect fitting as well. No spacer or any of that kind needed.

Is the car LCI or pre-LCI?

That's pre-LCI, I've read in here that on the 550i LCI the 343M will touch the front calipers.

I had my Shop recently installed a 343M wheel (got it from a Forum member) and wrapped it on Bridgestone S-04 since Michelin PSS has been on backorder for 6 months

Wheel Stats: Front 20/9 w/ 32 Offset while the Rear 20/10 w/ 34 Offset
Tire Stats: Front 255/35/20 and Rear 285/30/20

Car is not drop since my driveway is retarded that will scratch my Lip Spoiler if i drop the car but will do more research and calculation on this in the future since the car will not only look good when dropped but handles better.

Anyway, initial feeling driving on these set feels better than a regular Run Flat, despite the low profile set, i don't feel the bumps as much as the previous set. Both Front and Rear are flush from the fenders, i can probably put a small spacer on both still if i want too but for now i will just leave it as it.

I took a couple of pictures for everyone.

Enjoy....

Any suggestion what Color should i paint my brake Calipers? nothing too flashy. Thanks!
