AUC sensor: internal sensor fault

Hello, 2011 535 xdrive

I have this fault code, but not sure where to look. Can someone point me in the right direction? Bunch of posts for other models, none I could find for the F10. Where to find this sensor?

C90D60 AUC sensor: internal sensor fault

Thanks

I am guessing so. My emissions is throwing CEL and trying to clear up all other errors first.

I knew where it was on my E39 and E90, haven't looked for it on the F10 yet. It will be near the front in the fresh air stream. It's a pollution sensor for the HVAC to use in the automatic recirc mode.

Unfortunately realoem pictures it, but not any of the surrounding area to give a clue:

I'm guessing you know that it won't have anything to do with your CEL, but I'll say it just in case you don't. If newtis was still up it would be easy to link to a R&R page for it.

Looks like it's near the passenger wiper arm bolt, under the cover; where the HVAC air intake is.

Yes, Thank You, I found it. Passenger side, under the cover next to firewall.

My car is throwing this code now. Part number comes up discontinued everywhere I look. Anyone know if it's still available under a different part number not listed in realoem? Or, are there any OE/OEM options? Finding it hard to believe it's not longer available when it was last used in 2018 production cars.

Latest part number is 64116826346. Looks like it is available from many sites.

My car shows the same error.

But does anyone know the consequence? Is the AUC no longer detecting bad air and no longer switching automaticaly???

I can still activate the "A" mode.

Just found I have this code as well... joy. I read elsewhere of someone just sanding the contacts a little and got the code to go away.

You have to unplug the sensor to get at the contacts. I tried it when I changed out my blower cover, but nothing happened. I still have the code.

damn, I just got done with replacing the following and that code along with the sunroof popped up. Fixed the code for sunroof but nothing for this one.

Replaced:
Tension Strut
Brakes & Bleed
Battery
Spark Plugs

I'm guessing new battery is the culprit and all these codes are throwing each other off like a christmas light...
