Might change it. Just installed to see the look while I wait for gorilla tape. Not sold but also, for the price, not unhappy.

Had some lacquer peel on one of my wheels so decided to get it sorted.
Painted instead of diamond cutting. Looks ok, cant really tell unless youre looking for it.

Lacquer peel:

Sanded:

Primed and painted:

And guess which one was painted:

yea, but his shop was able to get the 3rd bolt from the top. i've already got a pretty good view of what needs to be done since installing the VRSF dp. Especially with all the covers underneath removed. i dunno if the RWD is easier to do with with the shroud removed, water pump moved and bracket it should give me plenty of room. there's actually quite alot of Youtube videos on the N55 engine and all had the same issue. but with some of the tips that helped them out i've got at least a better idea on how to tackle this on

Nice. I watched the install video looked pretty cramped in there. But does sound cool.

i think better than an intake swoosh. so instead of paying $200 for a BMS i paid $225 for the TurboSmart

off to the muffler shop!

gonna have my guy cutoff the existing 3.5" exhaust tips and weld a new 2.5" piping off the muffler to extend out more past the diffuser. reason being is currently the tips are hidden underneath the diffuser like so

here's what the exhaust looks like for those wondering

so sitting with him we had to discuss how it's going to be done because the spacing from the two 3.5" pipes will be an issue when going to the larger 4" pipes. the exhaust tip on the outer side will remain the same since i have about a .25" gap between the diffuser and the tip. the inner exhaust pipe is what will be a task for him. he decided to cut the pipe about .75" from the muffler and than add the new pipe but he will have to have a slight bend that way the tips will lineup without rubbing. he said it's doable. also, i am eliminating the EVC since i always leave it open so there's really no point in keeping it

so it's currently at the shop now and i should have it back tomorrow. i'll post some pictures when i do

Bored? You want bored? We just had solar installed and I spend a lot of time on the app looking at how much power we're putting back into the grid. SDG&E is such a rip-off, they pay $.04 when they buy the power and sell it back to you at about $.40!

Got the M5 Competition mufflers installed and loving the sound.
Also got some F8x-style carbon fiber mirror caps. Fitment was pretty good and the weave matches the M Performance spoiler really well.

Update! picked the Meisterschaft's up this morning from the muffler shop! here's whats left of the old tips and EVC

okay, from the top view you can see what my guy had to do. he cutoff and welded new 2.5" pipe which extends further than what i had before. he also had to on the inner exhaust pipe bend out a bit to accommodate the larger tips from 3.5" to 4.0" tips.

everything still looks centered

still plenty of room due to how large the opening is on the carbon fiber diffuser

so tomorrow i will continue working on installing the tips however i need to turn the VRSP as it's sitting low and if you turn it counter clockwise it should be running flush with the bottom of the car. than i'll re attach the exhaust mounts and everything else. will post some pictures when i'm done!

Finished re-sealing my port injection, now filling up and it feels so good to be able to purchase fuel (E85) here in California for 1.85 a gallon.

I had the stock Pre-LCI Bi-Xenon Adaptive headlights. Only pins I reused were the Ground pins since the ground slug up front is sealed up to prevent water ingress. Original intent was to lay down a complete separate harness so I can revert to the Xenons if absolutely needed. Now I'll just have to swap those two wires back to the original connector if need be
