550i 6-speed on BAT

This has to be a pretty rare car right? Curious as what it will sell for. Havent seen many manual f10s.

Depends on your definition of rare.
Yes, they stopped offering the manual some time ago.
Being non m sport will knock down the value some.
Color combo some more.
That many owners will hurt too.
But the big hit is that motor is known for what could be a major problem.

I like the color combo. No msport I could see being a negative. From the receipts posted it has had all the major n63 issues addressed. 3 owners on a f10 is not out of the norm. I just thought it was neat which is why I posted it.

I inquired with BAT about selling my 6-speed 550i with M-Sport and low miles last summer. They told me it wasn't something they wanted on their site, despite them having sold one just a few months earlier which IIRC was also a non-M sport model. Needless to say it appears inconsistency is the name of the game with these on BAT.

I've heard many bad stories with BAT but they have big market of bidders which is enticing.

Most non-enthusiast will just consider it odd and prefer an auto. BAT is the right place to sell it. Just have a reasonable reserve. If you are quibbling over a few $K one way or the other, this is not your game.

That's quite a beautiful looking F10, I'm really liking this colour combo.

The cleanliness of the non M sport has always appealed to me. it's a large and heavy but good looking sedan.

In all honesty I don't see much point of a 6MT in a car like this. They are extremely rare and don't sell. I saw a manual 2011 535i for sale for over a year. Plus that v8 engine just isn't reliable.

Heh, well one day I guess I will find out.

And that day will be before September 2021, when my Route 66 extended warranty runs out.

As to rarity, I was able to get the data on manuals from a helpful poster when I bought this car in 2012. 2013 was the last year with a stick. Here is the data though for anyone interested:

There were 611 F10 550i/6 six speeds manufactured in the following 3 years:

2011: 424 cars
2012: 90 cars
2013: 97 cars

27 of these cars (most all in 2011) were sent to Canada, 584 cars went to USA.

Of those 611, 269 had the M Sport Package.

These were the color choices for the 611 cars:

89 Carbon Black Metallic
78 Jet Black
76 Black Sapphire Metallic
63 Sophisto Grey Metallic
58 Titanium Silver Metallic
52 Imperial Blue Metallic
51 Alpine White
50 Space Grey Metallic
44 Dark Graphite Metallic II
16 Cashmere Silver Metallic
13 Mojave Metallic
8 Deep Sea Blue Metallic
7 Tasman Green Metallic
5 Milano Beige Metallic
1 Champagner Quarz Metallic

The 269 cars with the M Sport Package had the following colors:

89 Carbon Black Metallic
40 Jet Black
30 Titanium Silver Metallic
28 Alpine White
24 Dark Graphite Metallic II
24 Titanium Silver Metallic
22 Imperial Blue Metallic
12 Sophisto Grey Metallic

15 cars were built with the Bang & Olufsen High End Sound System

37 cars were built with Nappa Oyster leather; 8 of these cars were Carbon Black

2 cars (both Carbon Black) had Nappa leather in Oyster with the Bang & Olufsen sound system. One was the very last 6 speed built (number 611) finished May 15, 2013. The other (mine, number 548) was built October 2, 2012.

There you have it.

Good evening! This is really great info here-I have been searching for more detailed info about my car and haven’t found anything beyond production numbers for the North American market for my manual ‘15 M5 Comp of which there were 118 made for the US and Canada. Is there a resource you can point us towards or share that might break down the colors, options and order of production? I’m quite curious to see what that might be since manual f10’s are rare and wonderful cars. Ours is a forever car. Lots of info on M Registry about the M5’s but you seem to have better info.

Best

Hi guys,

I will see if I can recall who provided this information. It has frankly been so long, I have no recollection.

But, he had access to some sort of database obviously.

If I can dig it up, I will post.

Here is the thread containing the information: https://f10.5post.com/forums/showthr...=843424&page=2

Guy name Stephan735 from Sweden somehow went about gathering the information. The link he posted seems dead at this point, but it has been quite a few years.

All I got fellas.
