Trying to decide between 35 and 50% tint for my SGM F10. Will do same % all around; I don't really care for anything uneven. Anyone have photos to help me decide?

Thanks!

this is lightest there was, from dealer. I guess only 30% tinted, 70% light gets through film, on top of factory window which is as you see on front windows also slightly darker (just like on yours) I figure 35% here overall on the rear.

It all depends on your interior. I have the same tint on both our cars; one with black and the other with oyster/black (IIRC, 45% on the rears, 55% on the fronts and [I think] 50% on the windshield. The look is dramatically different; the oyster/black looks very light while the black looks quite dark.

here's a picture on a nice sunny day. you can see through the car which at times I think maybe my tint is too light compared to my truck which has 50% tint in the rear and 35% on the front. the pictures I posted above was on a cloudy day and to me I think it looks darker when that happens.

I'm surprised your rear windows on the truck look so dark with 50%. I was thinking of going 50-55% b/c I actually like the light look on this car.

It's 50% factory tint from Nissan. if it was limo tint it would be completely black! I had 50% on the driver/passenger side but I got pulled over back in Cali so I had to remove them. had them redone here in OH with 35% just so I don't get pulled over

% vs darkness

If I understand correctly (from what the tint guy explained to me), the lighter the tint the higher the percentage. The % number represents how much light is able to make it through the tint. So a tint with 90% would be the lightest letting in 90% of the ambient light falling on it while 20% (also referred to as Limo tint) would be nearly black letting in only 20% light. Was I misinformed?

I too am interested in getting the light tint (around 70-90%) that brings me close to how the prior model BMWs (e46) were with (slightly) tinted glass.

Appreciate the pictures, please keep them coming....

you are correct. but it comes down to you. I have JetBlack so I went with the Blackout look but I didn't want the tint to be absolutely dark like limo. so I felt 35% was good without having the cops pull me over (knock on wood)

I do have the urge to tint the whole front windshield
