I recall reading somewhere else that somebody who had formatted FAT32 on their Mac had to remove the various Mac specific files from the root before it would be recognized. They might be hidden or system files? Alternatively, maybe format blank FAT32 on Windows and give that a try.

I still have some ideas, updated Maps is not the end of the world, I use my iPhone anyway but this was a cool thing to play around with and see what the new BMW maps look like, there are a bunch of new roads in Florida where I live and it would be nice to have the maps updated without paying BMW hundreds of dollars, I need to pay them $2500 to fix my timing chain issue and that is another story |

I wasn't aware that they were hidden files, I thought it would of shown up when I put the USB drive into a PC. Also, I was told to format it to exFAT so trying this now. |

Thanks man, It took a while, but Im so happy it worked out.
FYI everywhere I looked online says USB drive needs to be FAT32... I searched on eBay, found a seller for the new maps and FSC Code, read what was sent to me and it worked fine with exFAT and software to remove the mac files. |
