My log from this morning after getting my VRSF intercooler installed. I think I need to drive it some more.

"My log from this morning after getting my VRSF intercooler installed. I think I need to drive it some more."

Doesn't seem like an upgraded intercooler is going to help much at lower temps like that - surprised the timing isn't squeaky clean. Log looks ok otherwise to me.

Did you enable sport trans without the paddles?

Did you check out the timing corrections?

Yeah, looks like cylinder#3 is fairly behind the others in terms of both timing and overall corrections. Might be worth pulling the plug in that cylinder and taking a look or swapping a plug to see if the correction moves.

Oh K! I had new NGKs installed almost 3k miles ago. I find it to run cleaner on stage 2, 91 octane tune but when I go up to stage 2, 93 octane it starts to pull timing.

Can anyone using the linear throttle comment on if it fixes the throttle lag? I have a sprintbooster right now, which I suppose is the opposite of a linear throttle.

It will depend on what you mean by lag. My car had iStep from late 2017 already (so several updates by the dealer since it was new). I'm not sure that I was experiencing much "lag" other than the joy of any turbo charged automatic. My torque converter sometimes seems out of sync with the rest of the world, causing some pausing or lurching when doing repeated suburban stop signs.

I am running linear throttle and I like it. It actually seems pretty similar to how my stock throttle adapted to driving, except that stock throttle seems almost WOT around 50-60% pedal travel. Now I seem to still get around the same amount of acceleration around 50% but there's more and more power available as I keep pressing the pedal. I'm really liking linear throttle, personally.

I never saw any appeal in pedal piggybacks that map everything into less than full pedal stoke so you think your car is faster. I can say that over the years I have noticed that transmission and throttle behaviour changes depending on how fast you apply throttle too, not just how far. Observe the different behaviour: if you're already rolling at 30mph squeeze the throttle to 50%. Next time do the same but stab it to 50%. Pedal piggybacks will confuse that too, IMO.

Thanks for the informative review! Btw what is iStep?

Second that. I emailed him after you posted his email address here. I am currently on revision 1.3. He has been very helpful in answering my questions, and constantly making revisions/adjustments after looking at my logs. Very pleased with him, and would highly recommend him.

BTW he was telling me about your car. Did you ever fix the boost leak issue?

Cool, I was super impressed with him and the level of service for the price! yea, think I figured out the boost leak. when I installed intercooler I think one of the clamps were not sitting all the way snug. I almost changed the O rings but its so tight on room to maneuver down there decided to wait on doing it. I normally dont dive my f10 much but since he has been tuning it im in it all the time car is a blast to drive. cant get enough of the rolling burnouts! im gonna need tires pretty soon!

On a stock PWG N55, there doesn't seem to be much advantage. Logs look fairly clean, boost 14ish mid, 10psi up top with perhaps a bit more timing. IAT around 104 so today was hotter. Maybe it doesn't feel quite as good as the initial 93 stage 1 flash because of the higher air temps today (83f).

I just don't think there is much advantage on a tiny PWG that can't generate enough boost up top. On my E90 N54, an E30 mix would generate substantial gains - this one is sort of meh...

Theoretical question: Assuming equal timing and boost on a given car, will an E30 mix make more or less power than 93? I'm assuming it will make a little less...
I believe .022 is recommended, not .020 for 1 step colder plugs

I am on revision 1.4 but error code 180001 (catalytic converter: efficiency below limit) came up (I am catless). Doesn't MHD take care of that? Besides that my logs are starting to look very clean with almost no throttle closure and car pulls hard all the way to the moon.

So, this is on the fourth revision. Car is still learning, and Bradley is not done dialing it in.
