2011 535 Puddle Light Stays On

Anyone have the issue of the puddle light staying on with the door closed? Rear door driver's side...

I have this issue but its rear door passenger side in a US car, and the only reason I ever noticed it was I added the projector BMW symbol puddle lights.

When the door is closed while driving, the light stays on, when it is opened, it should light up the floor but it is off.

Only if I click the unlock button while the door is open, does the light turn on with door open.

Really annoying, seems like a wiring issue that happened on every 5 series? mine is a 2013 528i.
