I am trying gather my research to determine if I should return my Bridgestone Driveguard Plus run flats (size 225 / 55 / 17) for the tires listed above. The cost is going to be high for me to return these tires, if possible, so I am asking if anyone has experience and feedback of these tires or any good runflat that offers grip and traction without an overbearing and jarring ride.

The car is a base model 2015 BMW 528i that I have right now. Thanks in advance.

It will ride and handle better if you ditch the RFs completely.

Run flats was the first thing i changed on my car when I bought mine 7 years ago. Getting "normal" tires made the ride a lot more comfortable. The sidewalls on a runflat tire are to stiff. Get a mini air compressor, and a tire repair can, as a backup just in case of a flat tire, and go for "normal" tires instead of runflats.
I have 245/40-19 on Continental sport contact 7 on my 2013 520d touring.

Some people say certain models of RFTs are okay, others hate them... I've seen no consistent praise for any one type. I actually have some BStone Driveguards that came on my E91 when I bought it, and found them to be tolerable. Other runflats I've driven over the years were absolutely awful. I think because the car has 16" tires and taller sidewalls that it makes them just okay. Terrible wet traction though.

Anyway, long/short of it is that I wouldn't put money into switching from one RFT to another. If you don't like them, get regular tires. Contis or Michelin. I swear by the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 tire... they are magic! Conti Extreme Contact DWS06 are a close and second and about 20% less expensive.

And yes, get a mobility kit and a repair kit. And AAA.

And if you want good summer tires...dont buy all seasons tires. They are bad in the winter and not very good in the summer. I have 2 sets of tires. Conti sc7 for the summer season, and nokian hakkapelitta studless winter tires for the winter seasons

Looking at the thread starters location....mabye a good set of summer tires is enought Mabye not so much snow in the winter season in L.A
