My home ISP was banned it seems as I cant access the site at home only. Is there a mod that can help me un-ban my home IP?

that means that somewhere in your home ISP you're sharing the IP address with compromised computer, or may be you computer or some computer in your home compromised or you have some old router which was compromised or has china backdoor in it

I wouldn't jump to assume that the problem is in one's home. The forum's firewall seems to be blocking entire IP subnets, ISPs, or even countries based on recent reports here.....

there are hundreds of thousands compromised systems in the world now and they do terabit level DDOS attacks
but the key is that due IPv4 shortage multiple residental and mobile users translated via one IP address using CG-NAT at carrier premises. That means that multiple clients became banned due one bad guy or compromised system

You might try a VPN.

I just changed ISP and have run into the same issue. Is there a way to get off this ban list..?

Or is there a way to check what IP's are on the list so I can tell my ISP support that they have given me a banned IP so I can get it changed..?

try to reboot router few times, and check what ip you get via web pages like whatsmyip
or ask in google "whats my ip" and you'll see if it changes

Yeah, I tried that, but it seems they are running some sort of round-robin where they change the IP every couple of minutes. They seem to be using a pool of 5 different IP's, all of which are blacklisted... Doh...

I have asked for a different subnet. Let's see if this ISP is a keeper..

You should be able to request a static IP address (did they offer?). If you can afford it. Also, it should be easier for apptest to let you in here in this case. Say, despite being assured my IPs aren't blocked here, right back then and now still I can only be here via (double) VPN. Even isitdownrightnow.com looks blocked from bimmerpost.com.

Yep, they came back and said they use CGNAT so they have no control over IP's getting blacklisted as other people are using them. They said I could get a static IP for and extra $5 per month.

I have told them, then their service is not fit-for-service. If I rent a car that doesn't work then they can't just say "they have no control over it as other people are using them".

So I guess my choice is, pay an extra $5, or find another ISP that is likely to be $5 more expensive anyway...

Do me a favor, can you PM me your IP address (the one that's blocked)?

And sorry they said that to you, these ISPs are getting more and more shady by the day with this whole concept of residential proxies etc, good intentions obviously but the way they sell them to botnets for pennies causes all this mess to begin with

Out of curiosity apptest, do you know where IPv6 implementation stands on the BP project road map? It would probably help prevent a lot of these accidental CGNAT firewall blocks, and now natively supported with almost every ISP for client users/devices.....

It's on our roadmap for sure, and many parts of its support have been built in already. As you know it's only about 40-50% supported across the internet and when we do flip that switch I want to be able to watch it like a hawk. I have a few other things coming in the pipeline in the coming days-months so I want to get those hammered out first before flipping the switch. But rest assured its coming...

All bimmerpost sites are timing out here as of today. I had to use a VPN to regain access. Not sure why this is happening. Using Tmobile fiber connection.
