BIMMERPOST App 5.x Thread (iPhone/iPad/Android)

Looks like the first post in the below thread is loading the wrong attachment. It appears to be showing the first attachment from the second post in the thread. The attachment in the first post shows correctly in the browser.

I’m running version 5.5.10 of the BIMMERPOST app on my iPhone 13 mini with iOS 16.7.

Attempting to open this thread crashes the app. I’ve tried it three or four times and get the same result each time.

I can open it fine on Safari for iOS 17.1.1 (iPhone 15 Pro Max). apptest

Just to let you know I think I’ve fixed the problem. I have a bunch of other smaller updates to finish off before releasing a new version, but a fix is in. I know it doesn’t help you right now, but just to let you know I’m not ignoring.

I’m guessing the next update will be released in the next month-ish

I just found another bug. This post only shows a gray box and I can’t scroll past it.

Well good news, it shows just fine on my end. Which means with my bug fixes this is already fixed. Just a matter of time before I release it out to everyone. I’m going full stream ahead tho, I want the next update to be as bug free as possible so I want to polish it a little bit more, still shooting for within the month of December or first week of January the latest. I know that’s still a bit of time, but these bug reports really help a lot to make sure we get every last one of them. The app is also a decent amount smoother now 👍

Ok so version 6.0.0 is out now and this should be totally fixed (X fingers). Let me know if you see any crashes?

I’ll let you know, but once I was able to get to the next page and bypass that post, the crashing stopped.

Ok great news. Also the SEMA thread which you posted about up above that one was the real killer with crashed (because it has so many hi res pics) that was the real stress test but I think it’s all fixed now 👍

In version 6.0.0 I can't view certain music videos in the song thread on the app even though it says you can "Watch on YouTube." When I click on it nothing happens. Had to view it on my laptop.

Yes, the videos with the thumbnail pic on the app work but the ones that say "Video unavailable Watch on YouTube" don't work, at least that's how it is for me.

Didn't do that with the old version of the app. Only started with version 6.0.0.

Something is not right in the new upgrade with music videos. I can’t get any music videos to play. It just gives a message to go to YouTube, which doesn’t work. It used to post the actual video 99% of the time. Now it’s just a nonfunctional link to YouTube.
