Reset CEL
Thanks to help from fellow board member I finally worked up the courage to remove my instruments cluster, take off the front glass, and clean off some annoying condensation water stains from the inside. Looks perfect now. However, the CEL is now on, even though iDrive tells me everything is OK. How do I reset the CEL?

I've done this for my other cars (not the bimmer hopefully) but go to your local auto store and ask for their CEL tool. With it, you can find the error code and clear it as well.

Turns out a pump that pressurizes the fuel tank (leak detector?) was failing. Had the dealership fix it under my extended Zurich warranty. All is fine now.
