hello

this is my first post in this forum and I just installed an M style afterMarket front bumper and what I got with the grill holding the fog lights was this as shown in the picture.


my question is , dose this effect the oil cooler or not ? especially that I am located in Bahrain and here the weather is like hell, high temp always !

I have a 2013 528I with N20 engine.

I think if MSPORT is sold with fogs in bahrain stock, then no reason why youd be impacted. ONly the M550d and M5 has no fogs and an inlet (550i also? dunno about this). So on your engine I really doubt it matters.

I think that the M bumper comes with another style of grill or whatever it's called.

but if you say it's ok then there is no reason to be worried.

The LCI msport has the fog in the middle like your bumper has it while pre LCI has the fog toward the corner. That's probably why. You're looking at pics of the pre LCI msport fogs

There should be openings on each side of fog light so air can travel to oil cooler in wheel well if you have one

Where did you buy this LCI bumper? Did it fit perfect? Any extra duct work you had to buy? Pls, I'm looking to do this conversion. Also are those your stock fogs ?

yeah I noticed that in the pictures from the internet, I don't think that I can open anything in the one I have.

how I can know if I have an oil cooler ? if I have an oil cooler and I kept this, is there any risk of damaging anything ?

I purchased this from a local shop in Bahrain. I costed me around 500$ with the fogs. the fitment is 95% and no I purchased the fogs with the bumper.

Look for radiator like these on each side of car, they are usually in wheel well just behind fog light. If the car has radiators remove the current fog light setup or make openings on each so air can pass through.

Your dogs look completely different than the M bumper I got

Mine has mesh all over.

I have a 528 and there is a cooler on the passenger side that needs to breathe

turned out that I can remove the plastics on the sides so I removed the small one in the passenger side and every thing is ok now.
