Ordering my 550i tomorrow

Drove the 550i this weekend and it was........ AWESOME. Love the torque.

I've had 3 7's, a 2000, 2004 and 2007. They have all been great cars and I've enjoyed them all. It's time to change things up, 0 to 60 in 5 seconds will do the trick.

Here's my specs:

Dark Graphite Metallic
Black Nappa Leather
Anthracite Wood Trim
Active Ventilated Seat Package
Cold Weather Package
Convenience Package
M Sport Package
Premium Package 2
Sport automatic transmission with shift paddles
4-zone automatic climate control
Active Cruise Control
Head-up Display
Side and Top View Cameras

I haven't been this excited about a new car since I ordered the 2000 740i with the sports package.

Order placed. Now for the wait, 6 to 8 weeks. Thanksgiving can't come fast enough now.

Is that the wait time everyone else experiences?

I usually buy from lot. Waiting isn't for me, I can change mind easily.

Is any worth of cold weather package for Florida?

I live in north Florida and we had plenty of freezing weather last year. Anyway, one reason for ordering are the headlight washers are part of the package, we have plenty of rain, which brings the road film. Not available as a single option.

If I go for the 550, you ordered just about exactly what I would get, minus the active cruise, and rear auto air and cold weather pkg. I have washers on my headlights now, and have never used, and seldom have rear seat passengers. Given that you are loading up the options, I am wondering why you didn't get the driver's assist pkg while you were at it? Seeing you go for the active cruise and cameras, you must be a gadget guy and automatic parking should be a must have for the gadget oriented!

I've driven a 7 with lane departure and found it to me annoying and yes you can turn it off. I have no patience for parking assistant and I do have blind spot detection on my Denali and it's a great feature, would have gotten this if stand alone. The automatic high beams reminds me of my parents 1978 Mark V Cartier Edition, on, off, on, off. I do like all the gadgets. I got the active cruise to see if I like it, I travel the expressway often, I-75 may be too busy, but I-10 may be great for this feature. MB owners seem to like their Distronic Plus. Lastly, I got to my budget figure and had to stop. Stay cool in CA, I see it was 113 in LA.
