Luxury Line trim removal

Hello everyone, I just traded my 13 535i in for a 16 535 in Mineral white it is the luxury line so it has that awful chrome trim on the rear bumper. So I have 2 questions. does the trim just pry out from the bumper or do I need to pull the bumper cover to get to any fasteners? Second I need opinions on what to do with said trim. I was thinking a carbon vinyl wrap on them. I think black would not look good in contrast with the Pearl white. Also I do not think anyone would be able to color match paint the trim and have it look right.

I just had mine wrapped in vinyl. My car is black so I just went gloss black to make it "disappear"

Even if you remove them it would leave obvious groove/slots which to me would defeat the purpose.

I would only be removing it to wrap it not for good. I would do the wrap myself.

For questions like this...I usually turn to one of the online part databases to see how the trim goes together as well as where the fastners are.

In the diagram...hardware usually has it's own index within the diagram and are the encircled numbers within the illustration. Based on the bright trim you're asking about (#4 & #5?)...there doesn't appear to be any hardware that secures them to the bumper...they appear to snap into place:

Just wrap it in vinyl. Final product looked great for me. Did it with front chrome trim as well.

Thanks Qsilver7, I looked it up on realoem before but was still uncertain. Looks like I will be popping them off this weekend. I may do just a Carbon wrap. If I had a common color or just Alpine white I would wrap it in white but I think it will stand out as a diffident shade with the Pearl Mineral White.
