powder coating brings down the value?
if i had a set of nice wheels.. let's say like hre, or morr, or bbs and they were silver
if i were to powder coat the wheels matt black would it bring down the value? |

No it shouldnt, as long as its a quality job and you dont do a color combo nobody would ever want.

Well, to be honest... Plastdipping seems like a good alternative. Easy to use, does the job right, and also, if you ever scrape or damage your rims, you could just redo the plastidip. Also, when you sell them, just peel it off and it's as good as new.
