2015 535i pax door won't lock

Hi folks,
Bear with me if this topic does not belong in this category. Just bought a 2015 535i with 123k miles. Good maintenance history, nice shape overall. Most obvious issue is that the pax side front door will not lock/unlock with the fob, nor with the central locking button. I can manually press the lock button on the door and unlock the door with the handle, so the physical connections are there and working. Must be something electrical, but would appreciate any info on next steps to try to fix this. Not picking up any codes on my Foxwell scanner. Thanks
