2011 F10 Coolant

Hi,

I drained the coolant from my 2011 535i. The coolant is dark green instead of blue. Is this normal? I bought the car used. not sure if this is the original coolant. I owned the car for 4 yrs, so the coolant is at least 4 yr old.

Did BMW use this green coolant back in the days?

Do the math.

You've had the car for 4 years. It's 2021 now, so you got it in 2017. BMW introduced green in 2018. So no, the P/O used some random walmart coolant and not BMW coolant.
