There is loads of threads on here with the info you want, but I have had 530 and 520 both are great the 530 packs a decent punch but the 520 is really quite fast enough and is far more economical to run and insure.
Spec is entirely up to you... personally I would only buy a Msport trim Bmw, it gives you leather, tinted glass and the sporty look I prefer... Hk stereo is a must and pro nav really, as are heated seats. Oh and folding mirrors!! Be mindful somethings you can just not add at a later stage as well whilst wheels and body parts can be upgraded. A great car which ever you choose |

For me, my 'must haves' changed whilst looking for my car.
Some have an Alcantara interior, I'd personally avoid that. I have the comfort seats in mine, and would make sure that it's replacement had them too (you get memory seats & mirrors with that too). Auto gearbox is a must, and I enjoy the panoramic roof. I have Variable Damping Control, but wouldn't miss it. I think the nav & maps on my phone is better than my updated BMW maps, so I rarely use the inbuilt nav. Electric bootlid is lovely, so I'd recommend that too.
