530 GT Msport Brakes

Hi all,

my mate runs a 2012 530d m-sport GT and has been shopping around for brakes (pads and rotors)

I've come up with textar or a brembo combo, or a delphi budget option. He has been quoted from £700 - £1400 fitted from various indis. Stealership said 1200

What is the collect thought? He's not a harsh driver, the car does 5k a year and he has just had a baby (or his wife has at least) - liquidity is a problem!

Would really appreciate your thoughts! Thanks v much!

Just get the OEM ones from FCP Euro. They have a lifetime warranty, so next time he does a brake job it's free. Is he handy? A brake job that's just rotors and pads isn't too difficult.

Thanks unspec - problem is he is not mechanically minded at all. I do all the servicing, brakes etc on my own vehicles - he hasn't got further than changing a wheel. problem is, if I touch it, his warranty is void.

He's ringing around to get quotes. I hope he lands a good price!

He could buy the parts himself off of FCPEuro, and bring them to the mechanic. Next time he needs the same job done, he can get them for free pretty much.
