Undecided on either MPerformance or Meagan. Can't afford the higher end stuff.... I just want that Growl.... It's a shame my car looks badASS but sounds like a Camry, lol...

I'm in the same boat, don't want quad-tips on my 535 and don't want to spend over $2k. I am leaning towards just having the M-Perf exhaust installed ($1450 or so) at the VDC (vehicle delivery center) when it lands.

I have the MPerformance on my 2011 535IX and I love it, the only thing I did is that I eliminated the BMW supplied clamps, decided to have it welded to prevent leaking at the clamps and looks cleaner….... The sound is great (to me) I like it , no droning and sounds very sporty...

The stock M5 exhaust does have a bit of drone around 1000 - 2000 rmp range on either D or S drive in both sport or sport + mode
I just traded in my 2011 550 for a 2013 M5 a few days ago and drove around town and logged about 200 miles thus far. |

I've for the Megan's and have no issue with them. It has a very sporty deep tone b

ok I did these clips today, on a rush, are not the best, but will give an idea, will try over the weekend with more time on hand to get a more realistic sound clip.

wow that drones considerably more than us aftermarket 535 exhausts. A lot higher up on the rpm scale too. Mine drones only at 1300-2000 rpms. Upwards from that is quiet.

Thanks SYCD that is my take too, I am very pleased with the M performance exhaust and I highly recommend it, the only advice I give is not to use the BMW clamps, weld it!

I like the sound of it from what I can tell. Does anyone know if the VDC install would clamp them or weld them? I'm guessing clamp. I would actually be ok with that as I might have them powder coated matte black at a later time anyway.
