H&R Lowered and Alignment OFF
I had my car lowered with H&R's about 4 months ago. Went for an alignment yesteday and the final report was still OFF. Front Camber left -0.9"
and right -0.7", where they are supposed to be between -0.6" - 0.2". everything else within the range/green. Mechanic told me not to worry to much since the numbers are off by not a lot and it would not impact my driving nor it wont consume my tyres. When I asked why did he not get this within the range he said that this was his first F10 and there was nowhere to adjust. Basically he did not know how to. Anyhow, has any of the guys that have lowered the car experiance anything like this? Any alignment shop suggestions here in the GTA area/Toronto? Thnx

Hello Gragi,
I have mine lowered on H&Rs, (given its not Xdrive) I had it aligned with no issues and it is within specs. Which dealer did you go to? I had mine done at Parkview BMW and they had no issues. MBA |

Mine was lowered by dealer and no issues either. Here are the specs I got back from them.

Mine was done at Alltech near Kipling & Bloor. I have asked Parkview for a call back, however I been told that even the BMW dealers subcontract someone like alltech for their alignments since they don't do it themselfs. Not sure how true it is... I will ask Parkview again today. Thnx

Hello Gragi,
I am pretty sure that parkview did my alignment on site. Check with them and you could verify. They had a special on (4 wheel alignment for $149). Not sure if this is still the case. Hope your issue gets resolved although to be honest I would think whatever the mechanic told you is probably true.. MBA |

Hi MBA, I spoke with Narith at Parkview and first the price is $195 however was told that sometimes when car get lowered they may not be able to get it within spec and your money is gone. Plus Parkview does not like when they have cars that have aftermarket springs and wheels. Narith also said that 0.3 doesnt make much difference and is OK. ... I am leaving as is for now. Thnx

.
The dealer lowered your car with H&R springs that you supplied? Did they give you a hard time about it? Or tell you that it would possibly effect your warranty? Also did you change the struts/shocks as well, or just keep the factory ones on? Thanks in advance lol sorry for all the questions, I'm just interested in having my dealer lower mine.

You need to turn your two front strut clockwise a little bit. I use to have the same problem like you. No matter how they do your alignment the number is still going to off. I spend so much money on that, but finally the manchnic in dealership was able to find out the problem. He turns the strut a little bit and now everything is perfect. I can drive my car 145mph and car still go straight. The mechanic said it is needed to to turn the strut after the car is lowered
