N63tu 550i bmw white exhaust smoke
2016 550ix downpipes bootmod3 stage 2
When parked, at times it will led off white smoke pretty hard, it only does it sometimes, very few in fact. I’m not sure what it is, some tuners tell me too much oil or turbos are going bad, n63intake.com tells me I’ll be fine. Not sure what to go off on, if anybody out there has or has had this issue please get back to me as quickly as possible, thanks. |

White smoke usually means something is burning, unless it is very cold out, I am not saying it is coolant, however Definately something burning. Check your coolant level and check your oil and turbo lines and try and check engine for general leaks. Usually smoke with a blue hue would mean oil however please check coolant in case!

My 550 does that once in a while. I've read and been told that it is leaky valves.

Yes, N63s Run like Ghost pepper raw, depends where you life and your lowest temp in the winter and your hottest temp in the Summer, For me in my N55, I use a 0w-40, its gets cold here below freezing and then summers are decently hot sometimes over 100F, If you reside in San Diego, 5w-40 should also be good for you to use, love the weather out there, Love being near sea level where I get all that nice dense air. Im at around 4200 ft in elevation so I have some power loss, not too noticeable however I know when I get full power is when I drive down that way lol.

Lol I appreciate all your comments, honestly really helpful to hear from others w my platform.
As far as my initial concern goes I replaced pcv valves and smoke was immediately gone, still added 2 bottles of liquimoly oil saver for the valve stem seals in case that it was that but that doesn’t take affect up til ab 500 miles after and smoke was gone immediately. Now in florida it is 60 degrees in the day and I am getting heavy smoke at start but goes away after a couple minutes of driving (I am running n63intakes.com oil cooler calve and colder thermostat, so oil will run much cooler than stock temps) |
