2012 535 xi KW V3 compatibility

Hey guys,

I'm reading some mixed opinions so would like anyone's help if they have experience with this or knowledge about it.

I would like to install KW v3 coil overs on a 2012 535 xi drive but do not want to lose my "Dynamic Driving Controls" which refers to the comfort and sport button that switches the throttle response.

I do not have ADAPTIVE DRIVING on my build... I checked my vin number and the spec sheet to make sure.

Will installing the KW v3 coil overs allow me to still use the sport button and have my throttle response change accordingly?

I have put 94k on this car since I got it brand new off the lot in 2012 and haven't messed around with it yet. The suspension is leaky so I might as well mod it a little bit now.

Any help would be appreciated

Also anyone know of any reputable shops in the Chicago area?

Thanks

I don't see why not. I admit my memory has grown foggy on all of the various marketing names for the features and the precise contrast between them - DDC, DHP, ARS, EDC, etc...

If you do not have electronically adjustable shocks, nothing will change. If you do - you're supposed to code it out or get the dummy modules that tell the system everything is OK. If, somehow, you had active roll stabilization but not electronic shock control, I would check with KW to see if the active sway bar link attachment points are in the same place etc...

ChiNorm is local to you and also has KWs, maybe he knows a shop. I added some observations and suggestions to one of the DIY threads after I did mine.

Yup, all that stuff continues to work just fine with the V3 system. I highly recommend Midwest Performance, who did my setup. 312 432 9492, tell Chris I said hi.
