Drivetrain Malfunction with AC on

Hello everyone,

Just thought if I could get anyones opinion on if I should change the AC condensor. In traffic while doing a 5-10mph crawl or stop and go traffic the car will rev up a little bit then drop back down to regular idle and will keep doing it until I get a drivetrain malfunction only with the AC on. The moment I turn that AC off the car is perfect. Spark plugs , coils , and belt were recently replaced so I marked that off the list. I just find it weird it only happens when the AC is functional. Any feedback would be helpful. Vehicle is FBO btw.

You only need to replace the AC condenser if there is a leak. If there is one, you will leak all refrigerant and AC will not engage. It will just blow hot air. If your vehicle still blow cold AC, I suspect maybe compressor is failing instead of condenser.

Ahh okay. I suspected it was a part that had to do with AC functionality. I will get the compressor checked out.

Have the codes read before going down a path that is not needed. Sometimes weird issues like this could also be caused by low battery voltage.
