535ix M sport exhaust tips

Hi everyone. I'm looking to replace the exhaust tips on my F10 and wanted to ask those who have done without having to do any modifications to the exhaust (want to keep it stock): is there a good seller/place that offers tips that fit without issues?

Dual or quad does not matter to me as long as they fit without issues.

Thank you!

I know the m performance mufflers have tips that are easily swappable via a set screw hidden on the bottom side of the tip. Just have to find the right size diameter opening for replacements. I'd imagine the stock ones have the same setup or are a slip fit that slide on and off with some resistance.

These are the ones I've been looking into actually but many of the ones for sale appear to be longer and might stick out too much. I wonder if getting then from the actual exhaust could fix this issue instead of going for the aftermarket M performance ones.

These are the ones. Has anyone put these on? If so, how do they look?

Just FYI, Bought the 4 tips with the same price from Alibaba. Ebay sellers just ship them from China anyways so i assume they are the same products but double priced.

You should look for tips with 60mm (2.36 inch) inlet and they should fit well, but note that some BMW models have little pins on exhaust pipe which prevents OEM tips from sliding too far but doesn't let aftermarket tips to fit well and they stick out, so in that case you might need to just cut those pins off. I know 3 series have those pins but don't know if 5 series have them too, haven't checked on my car yet.

Planning to put them on soon and will let you know how it goes.

The F10 does not have the nubs that the F30 has. F10 tips are welded on.

This guy filmed a video for me showing they are removable, I'm confused now...

My OE chrome tips slide off. I was going to put some E30 gray ones on, but they didn't fit. Slid the original ones back on.

Woah, really?! When I tried to remove mine, they were NOT coming off. Maybe they got essentially corrosion welded on?

Edit: Woah, you're right! TIL

😆 Apparently WD-40 will do the trick! I feel like mine are probably corroded to the pipe as well.

I believe the tips are aluminum but the pipe is steel, so galvanic corrosion maybe?

Good deal! Mine came off (and went back on) without any drama. WD-40 of PBB sounds like a good move!

Although the thread has turned toward aftermarket exhaust tips, I can confirm that the M-Performance tips (P/N 18-30-2-354-364), referenced by SWFLf10, do NOT fit on a bare (factory tip removed) 535 tail pipe end.

BMW increase the exhaust pipe at the very end to fit "big" exhaust tips on them....so now I have two very nice bookshelf decorations until I can get the factory M-perforance muffler.
