OBD II issues F10 535

So I came back from vacation after 2 weeks and connect my phone to the OBD II port and I am getting no device connected.

When I unplug and replug the cable into the OBD 2 port the adapter lights up as usual.

Car starts fine, anyone know what the issue might be?

Should I disconnect the battery and wait 10 to 20 minutes?

I'm having the exact same problem on my 535i. Still haven't found a solution

in my case the android device otg capability went bad.

tried another android device and everything works.
