F10 528i swat swap 535i 2016 m seats

In my overzealousness I purchased a set of sets from a 2016 535i m for my 2012 528i as it was a specular deal yes all without doing my homework. Long story .. they're short. The width is where the issue is. What are my options in making these fit? Can the bases/rails be swapped? And as for wiring with the harnesses can anyone please provide the pinouts for the seats? Thanks in advance

F10 pre-LCI front seats and F10 LCI front seats have almost nothing that are interchangeable, except the seat modules and the active head rest cartridge.

The rails are wider on pre-LCI, and the whole bottom seat frame is completely different, even the way the seat cover is attached to the seat frame is different....to my chagrin, even the seat belt buckles aren't interchangeable....

If you were to get the seats installed mechanically, you could get them to function, assuming the wiring loom in your vehicle is made to match the features on the seat. If seat features are different, it may require changing out other modules and then FDL code accordingly.

Good luck.
