Refurbishing leather

Does anyone know the best way to recondition worn Dakota leather interior for BMW 5 series?

Start with lexol. Dakota is usually very durable, which is why I prefer it over the more soft, nappa.

Can you provide which piece you are referring to?

The reason, it may look and feel like Dakota leather (course grain leather), but really be pleather (fake leather)...and Leather reconditioning products will NOT recover worn pleather.

If you are referring to your seats, all you have to do is remove the rear covers to see that it is not all real leather.....

There are slightly more surfaces on an F10 LCI that are real leather over the F10 Pre-LCI, mostly on the door cards. On the other hand, if you got F10 smooth leather, that for sure is real leather. So yes, that dashboard is completely fake leather in most F10's (unless you have the smooth leather with stitching = real leather).

Hey MPBimmer,

I was using Meguiar's products and I'm satisfied with the results.

Next I will try using Koch-Chemie
