I just want to open a new thread for David's tune as I have made the jump from Twisted Tuning. I will post logs and provide updates as I get new revisions. Let's see if the issues are car related or tune related... Finger crossed lol.

Twisted tuning are cons, just as their name, they are twisted and prolly twist your car's engine!

I have posted various logs on this forum and it has been over a year now with no solid results. I like the guy and he is nice but my car never works correctly with his tunes. It could be my car too, so switching tuner will sort of confirm one or the other.

To be fair our cars do not share the same ECU as a F30 N55 ECU. There are some tables missing that make the F30 N55 more performant than ours. I discovered this working with Mission.

He sent me first custom map after 7 days of purchase, than i told him bootmod 2h is better map than his, so second revision was sent few months later! After that he did not respond EVER! No wonder these Crookes don't publish their phone numbers!

David Stoup is a super awesome dude. He called me to tell me his map ready and what he wants me to do. He replies his text messages too.

If my n55 works out great with this tuner than I will have my n54 e92 335i which will get single turbo tune by him as well.

It is not just power the car never worked correctly. Never ever I got a smooth boost curve with Twisted tune. So I said let's try another tuner and see if it is my car or not.

Can you feel those fluctuations that the graph is showing under target? And your starting from 15 psi as a base?

I can't feel the fluctuations at all which is the crazy part. The car feels super smooth, he wanted to start low to make sure I am getting decent 93 oct in my area as he has experienced people not having good 93 oct fuel and n55s are very picky engines vs n54 when it comes to fueling. For comparison Twisted base targeted 18psi. He told me some n55 likes to run a little leaner and some like to run a little richer so he wanted to see how my car is doing with fueling. He kept all safety features untouched for now and he told me my car will have those fluctuations before he even emailed me the map as that is normal on base map because he didn't make adjustments to PID. To me he seems really knowledgeable and my car is doing exactly what he told me it would be doing. I learned a lot more from him in one day than I did from Twisted in a year. Twisted never answered to any of my questions just provided map update and that is it. No real communication like David Shoup.

MHD as far as I know as his form that I filled only mentioned MHD.

He has been super responsive on text, phone and email + he is working on my car as if it is his car. So far what I have seen is that he likes to fix issues instead of pouring more power to try to hide the issues. Plus my car feels smooth and throttle is super responsive... Even with 15 psi map my car feels faster than when it was pushing 19 psi with previous tuner. Some of it is probably placeblo effect but just low end torque is so much better and again throttle response is amazing. Right now we working on fixing my oscillation issues and he already send me 3 maps in 2 days. Last tuner I would wait a week or 2 and sometimes 3 weeks before seeing an update.

When I am done with the tune and switch over to summer tires than I will. I might not be able to do Helix OD this year so I might just settle with 93 oct power levels.

Why do you wish you were AWD? I wish I didn't buy AWD and actually went with RWD... I probably make like 450ish whp but depend on AWDtrain loss it might be lower. We shall see.

Torque curve got straight we still need a little bit more fine tuning as boost still oscillating at high rpm and then raise the boost.
