Got rev1.2 feels good buts its dead down low. He mentioned he has a fix for that and managing the exhaust characteristics, can't wait to see what he can do. Log sent to him

https://datazap.me/u/bmwdoubles/dsho...;data=3-4-5-14

Hits pretty hard up top and thats only 18psi and a unfinished tune.

What you mean by exhaust characteristics? Also, what fuel you running with this tune? E60?

I don't have details to what his definition of that is. When we get there I'll extract that info. If i were to guess it means some
Vanos adjustments that control the valves in and outlet systems. I'm running e60 but the tune is e50. He even admitted full e85 tune from him is still going to be a e50 tune. The bonus for me is I don't have to measure because of my Helix. I just dump a bunch of e85 and don't think about it.

Does he know your goals for power and can you achieve that with e50 tune? And how are your gas mileage? Lol

He knows the goals. 550whp 600wtq. 13.5 mpg on average. If I'm chill I can get 22mpg highway.

If i use all 91 and chill it's about 18/27

I've not done track yet but that's probably 8-10 mpg.

Did you have to reach out to the site for pricing? I don't see any actual pricing listed.
Also, since they've got it listed for a 525i, I'm assuming that there's not too much as far as chassis differences that all of these parts listed will fit our 535s?

Link from earlier in the thread for reference:

THANKS! I'm enjoying lurking on this kinda stuff as I piece together a list of things I want to do down the road as funds become available lol.

Run 7 looks pretty good how does it feel down low?

What fuel pump are you using? It's holding well across the range.

Running lpfp stage 2, I did the diy. David even asked me if I am at least running lpfp stage 2.

Car feels powerful... I'm not as hard on the throttle as I used to be as the car just jumps.

What year is your car? Interesting that you can hold that pressure with only a stage 2 lpfp, unless you have the newer style hpfp.

I'm only starting with my revisions and my car is very strong too. I'm looking forward to the final revision and adaption.

Ain't no corona virus stopping this N55 build lol.

I want any sort of video that will make me spend my corona virus stimulus check on a new turbo.

I would say, after looking at your logs, don't get the helix OD if you can hold over 2k psi across the range. The helix OD is definitely plagued with that metal clanky sound. Loud on cold starts and randomly at idle once in awhile. To be honest is sounds like a slipped bearing. I don't care because I want that powah, but if I can have that powah and quietness I might switch to a stage 2 lpfp.

I don't know I can do more than 19psi without running into timing issues. I want that 550whp and I don't think I can get that on stock hpfp with just lpfp stage 2. I am pretty sure once I add e85 into the mix the hpfp will shit on it self without the Helix OD. I thought Spool said they can fix the issue with tune update?

I just asked him about which turbo he'd recommend and he said the big boost 3.3, interesting... time to do some research.

Just beware I feel there is some lag with the PS2 and a bigger intercooler. With my Sprint V2 and knowing what RPMs to be in I can kinda of get around it, but if you're just cruising and you mash it there's a noticeable lag. PS3 is going to exaggerate that.

Let's see if DShoup can fix this lag. Still waiting on my next revision.
