Wanted 19” 351 or aftermarket equivalent
Hi all,
I’m a newbie and rookie, so please be patient. I have a 525d F10 with 17” SE wheels. I recently put my brothers 19” 351 wheels on for a trail/error to resolve some shaking whilst at 70mph. Anyway, i loved the look with the wheels on so would like to replace my basic 17” wheels. I’ve come across some aftermarket wheels but am hesitant given they’re not genuine BMW wheels and not sure how strong they are compared to OEMs. Anyone with good experience to help me make a decision? If someone says “they’re not as strong, don’t do it”, i’ll keep looking for some 351’s, but would prefer new aftermarket given i know they’re brand new and won’t have hit any pot holes and have the risk they’ll be damaged. Cheers to all and i appreciate your time, |

Over the years I’ve had lots of aftermarket wheels and the only Alloys I’ve ever had crack are Genuine BMW wheels with low profile run flat tyres fitted (MV4’s on my old e92).
If you buy a set of aftermarket wheels from a reputable retailer like BMAutosport or ******** (I’ve used both in the past) and as long as you go for non Run Flats and try your best to avoid pot holes, you can’t go too far wrong. |
